01
Product identity
Sales Navigator is not a generic LinkedIn account label
A sound connector must identify the exact product entitlement and contract behind search, lead or account lists, profiles, and InMail. DewEngine has no selected or approved Sales Navigator adapter. Its broader LinkedIn target is decision-gated, and the platform blueprint requires contract validation, entitlement tests, InMail credit accuracy, action-specific limits, and provider authorization before any production claim.
- Store product entitlement separately from account health
- Do not infer Sales Navigator access from a successful base account connection
02
Workflow map
Separate research, list management, and communication
A seller may search, save a candidate, associate it with a CRM account, review an existing relationship, and later consider an InMail. Those are distinct permissions and state transitions. An integration should deliver value at the research and organization stages without requiring provider-visible action. This makes the product safer and more resilient if messaging authorization is unavailable or withdrawn.
- Use independent capability flags for reads, list operations, and sends
- Require a customer decision before moving between stages
03
List ownership
Do not confuse provider lists with CRM truth
A saved lead or account list is context from one entitled user. CRM territories, opportunity stages, suppression, and ownership remain customer-controlled. Preserve mappings and provenance rather than mirroring blindly. If two sellers save the same company under different accounts, the CRM can show both observations without leaking private list membership or overwriting the assigned owner.
- Namespace list identifiers by connected account
- Make list-to-CRM associations reversible and auditable
04
Search and sync
Represent limited or partial coverage
An authorized contract would need documented filters, pagination, list operations, refresh behavior, and account-specific visibility. Initial sync should be bounded and resumable; incremental observations should deduplicate and expose lag. A missing item can mean changed filters, entitlement, access, or deletion. Do not remove a CRM record merely because a provider list no longer returned it.
- Keep provider-list membership as an observation
- Test filter support and pagination for each entitled product variant
05
Action safety
Recheck InMail and invitation eligibility separately
Being saved as a lead does not authorize contact. Before any proposed action, validate sender authority, recipient identity, current conversation, relationship state, suppression, customer purpose, provider entitlement, product budget, and account status. Preserve approval and dispatch state, and do not fabricate provider credits or retry an ambiguous outcome. Search scale must never become an outreach-volume shortcut.
- Keep provider allowance distinct from internal safety budgets
- Pause queued contact after replies or manual ownership changes
06
Release dossier
Demand product-specific evidence
The gate requires counsel review, provider or partner authorization, verified subscriptions, method-level contracts, consented real-account fixtures, credit and entitlement accuracy, pacing, restriction, reconnect, deletion, tenant isolation, audit, and kill-switch tests. Customer copy must name unsupported features and residual risk. Until this dossier exists, Sales Navigator integration remains a research subject, not a DewEngine service.
- Test subscription downgrade and reassignment
- Retire capability claims when their evidence expires
