Ask about authorization and total cost before free access

A decision guide separating provider API terms, paid product entitlement, connector operations, safety limits, and DewEngine pricing while no LinkedIn service exists.

Educational research only. LinkedIn account access remains decision-gated. No DewEngine LinkedIn connector is approved or implemented.
01
Short answer

DewEngine offers no free or paid LinkedIn API

There is no approved, implemented, or sellable DewEngine LinkedIn connector. The current target uses a decision-gated account-session concept and cannot be priced or offered. This page also does not assert whether any specific LinkedIn developer or partner product is currently free. Exact provider eligibility and commercial terms must be verified through the selected authorized program when a real decision is made.

  • Do not treat a marketing route as account access
  • Avoid planning a product on unverified provider pricing
02
Access before cost

A zero request price would not grant permission

The first questions are which official or authorized path supports the use case, which account product is eligible, which actions are permitted, and which approvals apply. A technically reachable surface can still be contractually unavailable for the intended product. DewEngine will not substitute scraping, reverse engineering, bypass, or unauthorized automation when an approved path is missing.

  • Record the provider program and accepted use case
  • Keep a lawful fallback if authorization is denied
03
Total cost

Count the work beyond request fees

A production integration can require connector engineering, security infrastructure, managed keys, object storage, synchronization, real-account testing, monitoring, user support, reconnect handling, privacy operations, incident response, legal review, and ongoing conformance. Paid Sales Navigator or Recruiter entitlements may be separate customer costs under their own contracts. A free endpoint would not remove these obligations.

  • Budget normal operations and failure recovery
  • Separate customer subscriptions from connector invoices
04
Limits

Do not confuse price with safe usage

Provider rules, account status, product entitlement, customer purpose, and action budgets remain enforceable regardless of billing. An unlimited API label cannot mean unlimited messages, invitations, search, or collection. Internal pacing should be conservative and transparent, while provider limits are quoted only from current authoritative contract evidence. Throttling and restriction are stop signals, not reasons to distribute traffic.

  • Keep commercial allowance and safety admission separate
  • Never use alternate accounts to evade a limit
05
Build-versus-buy

Compare durable authorized outcomes

Evaluate whether an official provider path, customer-owned export, licensed data source, manual workflow, or another communication channel can complete the job. Compare authorization durability, capability fit, security, privacy, support, continuity, and total cost. A cheaper route that depends on prohibited access or fragile sessions is not equivalent to a narrower authorized product.

  • Score loss-of-access and migration cost
  • Prefer a smaller surface with verifiable permission
06
Commercial gate

Publish pricing only after product approval

If the LinkedIn decision ever clears, DewEngine must define its billable unit, included capabilities, customer prerequisites, limits, trial, support, cancellation, and residual risk. Usage and invoices need reproducible ledgers, and capability entitlements must block anything not included or proven. Until those product, provider, legal, and technical gates pass, the accurate availability and price are none.

  • Keep website, contract, console, and invoice aligned
  • Remove the channel from plans if approval or evidence expires
Questions

Before you build.

Can I sign up for a free DewEngine LinkedIn API key?+

No. DewEngine does not provide LinkedIn access in any tier. The channel remains decision-gated with no connector, production account flow, SDK method, or commercial offer.

Why can a free API still be expensive to operate?+

Security, account lifecycle, synchronization, storage, monitoring, support, privacy requests, incident response, legal review, and conformance remain real costs even when a provider charges no per-request fee.
