Design B2B company messaging around identity and service workflow

A company-communication guide to organizational sender authority, inbound triage, CRM context, approval, service metrics, and capability evidence.

Educational research only. LinkedIn account access remains decision-gated. No DewEngine LinkedIn connector is approved or implemented.
01
No inferred capability

Company messaging needs its own authorized contract

Companies, chats, and messages appear in DewEngine's target catalog, but their coexistence does not prove that a company can send or receive messages through an API. There is no company identity, admin entitlement, page inbox, or event contract in the current manifest. LinkedIn remains decision-gated, so this route frames a potential B2B workflow without claiming provider support.

  • Keep company messaging absent from capability discovery
  • Do not reuse personal-account sending under a company label
02
Organizational authority

Show which company and person are acting

A customer needs to know the external organizational identity, the internal operator, the entitlement that allows them to act, and the business purpose. Admin roles can change, so eligibility must be checked at reply time. A workspace administrator should not automatically gain authority over every connected company presence, and a departed employee's session must not continue serving a shared inbox.

  • Bind company role evidence to the connected account
  • Audit operator assignments and role revocation
03
Conversation model

Keep external facts and team workflow separate

The provider thread carries participants, messages, and source timestamps if an approved contract exposes them. The B2B product adds assignee, priority, tags, private notes, service target, and resolution. Internal metadata must never be emitted as a provider reply. A conversation can be resolved internally while remaining open externally, so status labels must say which system owns them.

  • Use opaque links from CRM account to conversation
  • Prevent private notes from entering outbound payloads
04
Response workflow

Use context without over-automating the reply

Customer history, product ownership, and prior messages can help route and draft a response. The final command still needs current company entitlement, operator role, recipient and thread identity, content approval, suppression or policy checks, and idempotency. Automated classification can suggest assignment, but uncertainty and high-risk replies should route to a person rather than silently acting.

  • Pause scheduled replies after new inbound context
  • Show sources behind generated response suggestions
05
Service measurement

Measure what the business actually controls

The product can measure time to assignment, first reviewed response, unresolved age, and handoff from its own event ledger. It cannot claim recipient delivery, reading, or response intent without direct approved evidence. Provider downtime and account restriction should be separated from agent performance so operational metrics do not blame a team for a gated or unhealthy connector.

  • Label customer and provider clocks separately
  • Keep personal message content out of aggregate metrics
06
Release dossier

Prove company identity and role transitions

Approval would require provider and legal authorization, exact company eligibility, admin and operator role fixtures, inbound and outbound message contracts, identity rendering, event deduplication, timeout reconciliation, restriction, reconnect, tenant isolation, retention, deletion, audit, budgets, and kill switches. If the provider contract cannot prove company messaging, DewEngine must retain the CRM service workflow without the channel action.

  • Test company-admin removal during queued work
  • Document the fallback channel and customer ownership path
Questions

Before you build.

Can a personal LinkedIn connection power a company messaging inbox?+

That cannot be assumed or relabeled. Company identity, page or organization entitlement, conversation visibility, and sending behavior need their own approved contract and conformance evidence.

Which B2B inbox metrics remain valid without provider delivery evidence?+

Internal assignment time, review time, queue age, handoff, and command acknowledgement can be measured from owned state. Do not label those as recipient delivery, read, or satisfaction.
